Sitting in the Heathrow Airport

kybearfuzzHad a very interesting time getting here this morning. The airport isn't that far away, about 60 miles, but it took my very odd cabbie about 2 hours to get me here. Thank heavens it was a flat rate. He was an unusual sort. Colin was about 50-ish, a cabbie, musician, inventor, and history buff. To be honest, watching him drive a cab, smoke, and drink coffee at the same time was very unnerving. Let's just say that the two hours was similiar to roller coaster rides, but not half as fun.
The airport is big, but I'm not terribly impressed. The NKY/Cincinnati airport seems far better laid out and easier to navigate through. Well, I'm going to have avoid the souvenirs this trip I fear. Still nothing that catches my eye for me or others and I think my bags are getting excessively heavy. The gal at the check in counter gave an odd look when I laid my bag on the scale. I'm getting close to the limit it appears. May need to leave some stuff behind if it doesn't work out (Goodbye dirty tee-shirts and knickers!)
Well, I need to find some lunch and then sit and read my book for the next two hours. Good news is that I found all the bears here in England, they are all waiting for a flight apparently. Good eye candy if nothing else.
