Purple

And here I thought I was going to get away from ties for a while. Along came a meeting in the office for today, so I had to dress up appropriately.

This is one of the shirts and the tie that I bought last Saturday during my shopping therapy with jeepdude_70. I do love purple. It was my favorite color in high school and I admit it's growing on me again, competing with my usual favorite of green. In fact, one of my coworkers asked how many purple shirts do I own. I thought it an odd question, until I realized this was the second purple shirt I'd worn to work this week.

And just what is your favorite color or color combination? :)

And no, I didn't sit this way for a meeting, argyle socks showing and everything. Just in case you were wondering. *wink*

It's hard to choose a favorite color these days. My default color seems to be blue.

Your favorite colors always look great on you. I do like purple, tho I don't wear it much. It was my high school's colors: purple and white (Herbert Hoover High, Glendale CA). Somewhere I've got a white towel with "Hoover Tornadoes" emblazoned on it in purple... I won it my senior year in a beard-growing contest - lol.
From past posts you may have gathered my favorite color is red ...which I've discovered I cannot live without. But I wear just about anything, except maybe bright golden yellow.

I bet you look great in a tie! I like the way ties look, but I admit I don't always feel comfortable in them.

I generally go for cooler colors (blues and greens) myself, but this summer I've been wearing a lot of red and orange.

Red is a tricky color to me because it was my high school color (well, it often went red or maroon), so I don't have fond memories of it. It's been a color I keep around always though. Red looks good on you :)

And the tie is fun, isn't it? I was looking for a tie to go with a purple shirt and a charcoal gray suit and after three shops, this one caught my eye! It's stylish, yet a bit geeky.
