Working Out Hysterically

Okay, so I'm doing the P90X workout called "Core Synergistics." It's actually kinda fun, working the core muscles and finding that things are actually moving at a good pace. It's only my second time trying this one.

Toward the very end of the overall workout, there is this move that is basically a tricep dip workout with one leg raised in the air. After about five struggled reps, my non-raised leg shook and my butt hit the ground.

When I raised up to see how much time was left in this particular exercise, the leader Tony was asking one of the very fit, very blonde ladies a question.

"So how many are you gonna do, Dreya?"

"Twenty-five," she responded.

"BITCH!" I exclaimed.

I immediately started giggling... and then laughing... uncontrollably, enjoying the fact I'm at home and absurdly yelling at a DVD.

If yelling at a DVD is your idea of absurd, you really need to get out and meet more people...there's all kinds of crazy out there, like guys dancing their way up the stairwell when they think no one can see them. :D

Robert and I hate Dreya. We are not sure what it is about her, but we have disliked her since the first time we played that DVD, and now we go out of our way to make fun of her.

Even though she could probably beat me up.

Are you kidding? She's an ACTRESS! She just Acts "fit"; if she has to look "fatigued" they spray her with water for "sweat" and she Acts "tired". 25 reps? CGI does most of them.

As for yelling at the television...do you think 20,000 guys yelling at the tube while watching the SuperBowl is going to affect the outcome of the game??

I think the lack of oxygen from all the heavy panting I do during exercise makes me think odd things.

Dancing up a stairwell, huh? Now that could be entertaining!

I'm not sure what to make of Dreya. She certainly seems to play the role of second fiddle well, she has all the right words that Tony wants to be recorded. She just annoys me for some reason.

Personally, I think she and Tony are (or at least were) an item (though I sometimes get a slight gay vibe from him). She even got displayed on the promotion materials.

Personally, I like Pam (aka Blam) better :)

Actually I don't think she is an actress and I think the sweating is real. Everything seems to be recorded in real-time with no breaks.

And I would love to think CGI is involved. Especially when they do ridiculous number of repetitions!

OMG! We LOVE Pam! We have commented several times that she seems like she'd be cool to hang out with. As a private investigator, I bet she has some great stories too.

BTW, Dreya describes herself as omnisexual on her wikipedia page, but she is married to a guy. Go figure what that means.
