Last night's outing with the DC Movie Bears was a good one. After having Thai food, the group went to go see I Love You Man.

When a realtor with no guy friends (Paul Rudd) proposes to his girl, he finds that she and her core group of girlfriends are worried about his lack of male friendships, which leads him on a man hunt of his own to find a male best friend who will also be his best man. With the help of his parents and his very socially-active gay brother (played by Adam Sandberg), he drifts through a series of "man-dates" only to find an unusual friendship with a slacker who crashes one of his open houses for free food and divorcees (Jason Segel).

The movie is VERY FUNNY. Paul Rudd plays the socially-awkward guy really well and Jason Segel comes off as a testosterone-laden Yoda, discussing the finer points of male relationships like an expert. My favorite characters through are his fiance's friend played by Jaime Pressly, who has a love-hate relationship with her hubby (Jon Favreau), the latter of whom hates Paul Rudd's character.

A group of young ladies leaving after the movie was over was talking amongst themselves. I overheard one of them saying that it wasn't so much the movie she enjoyed as hearing the guys around her laughing about it.

As the movie goes, I enjoyed, would watch it again, and possibly would buy it. As the DC Movie Bears go, they are a group of really good guys and I look forward to hanging with them again next month.
