Hug a Santa Today
I've been meaning to post more cartoons, sometimes rougher, less polished ones. I doodled this one tonight and because my sister doesn't have a scanner, I had to photograph it and play with the brightness/contrast using the software on her computer. I miss my Photoshop.

I thought about doing this cartoon on the 3-hour drive to my hometown today. This time of year sometimes makes me wish I could be a kid again -- being off from school, having no real responsibilities, and believing in Santa. I suspect a lot of adults feel this way during the holiday season.

Well, I'd like something to believe in. I'm not sure Santa Claus will do it for me, though. But, I think most things of that nature are representative of greater spiritual and emotional concepts, anyway. So, I try to believe in those.

This wasn't meant as a deeply cerebral post, I realize. I went there. Oops.

I know just what you mean. Every time I come back to Louisiana and there's a Christmas tree up, I turn into this little kid all over again.

Awwww, that is a very sweet cartoon. And it demonstrates how seeing a handsome bearded man can bring out the kid in so many of us! [:o) It also once again demonstrates your formidable and developing talents as an illustrator, talents that I really think you could eventually put to more lucrative use.
