kybearfuzzLast night was a rare "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" dream, minus any supernatural stuff it seems.
I was back in high school and there seemed to be some unusual epidemic happening. Students were getting sick at random, just suddenly passing out, making it to the hospital and dying later. The source of the sickness was still be investigated.
Though, I don't recognize the school (it wasn't Sunnydale), Buffy, Xander, and Willow were all present. During the course of the epidemic, Xander and Willow both came down sick and were in the hospital. Buffy and I were still trying to figure out the cause.
The school pulled together an assembly, but it seemed like it was for a school event than a warning. During the assembly the cheerleaders took to the stage and I noticed that one of the cheerleaders was passing out "pep pills" to the others. I thought this was it and like a typical Xander move, I leaped on stage screaming "Don't eat them, they're poison!" and snatching the pills from the one cheerleader and trying to convince the others to spit them out. Sticking the pills into my pocket, I rushed to the hospital.
Trying to find Buffy, I ran into a coworker who turned out to be a lesbian (she was their with her partner), but in reality she's married to a man. I found Buffy in the ICU with Xander who was unconscious but listening to a walkman. While having the pills tested, I was sitting with Buffy. Xander was fitful and turned over in his sleep, exposing his naked butt (seriously!).
The doctor came back to tell me the pills weren't the source. It was then I noticed this new all-natural green candy that Xander had been eating and touting to everyone. It occurred to me that it was the likely cause as a lot of the students had been eating it too. I handed the candy to the doctor and had him check that, which turned out to be the poison all the time.
Okay, except for hanging with Buffy and seeing Xander's butt, it was a dull dream, but being the hero is kinda nice.
