I try to be pretty conservative when it comes to gauging points at a restaurant when I am not sure. If I think a dish is 1/2 cup of whatever, I may log it as 2/3 to make sure.

As for saving the bonus points, I do that for the weekends too. I usually find myself eating out with friends on the weekends, so it's a good time to use them up.
