Don't feel bad; I had two brain-fart moments this morning. First I tried to pick up a hot stoneware pie plate fresh from the 450-degree oven with my bare hands. Then I filled the coffee pot up and turned it on, and couldn't figure out why no coffee was coming out - um, because all the water was still in the pot and not poured into the brewing part!!!
