Yummy Jon Favreau
Jon Favreau as Johnny in The Break-Up

A large group of us went out to Milford for dinner at Red Robin, including Brian ([livejournal.com profile] cincycub), Eric ([livejournal.com profile] nonljeric), Dave ([livejournal.com profile] cincy_dave), and Rob ([livejournal.com profile] mickeymac). It was Dave and Rob's first time out with the gang of us. Dinner was good, though the staff squeezed eight bear sized men into a cramped booth. Apparently they thought it was a table of eight for supermodels.

After dinner, we headed to a showing of The Break-Up. I had low expectations as most of the reviews have not been favorable. However, I thought it was pretty entertaining. I'm not a big Vince Vaughn fan, but I thought he did a great job. Jennifer Aniston is doing well I think post-Friends. While the story seemed pretty predictable, it does throw some significant twists that made me admire the movie. The movie also stars Judy Davis as eccentric artist Marilyn Dean and Peter Billingsley, best known as Ralphie from A Christmas Story. Jon Favreau caught my eye as he stars as Vaughn's best friend Johnny. That goatee and that beefy body made me swoon.

Did I enjoy the movie? Very much.
Would I see it again? Hmmm? Not sure.
Buy the DVD? It's not really a movie I'd own, I think.

Jon Favreau and Jeremy Piven need to make an adult-themed film together. There. I've said it.

Wow. I really hated this movie. From the audience reaction of a packed theater, so did just about everyone else.

I haven't wanted to hate characters more since I saw that awful movie Closer.

Just my $0.02

Jon's always slightly tweaked my interest, but in that photo he's both hunky AND hitting my Irish-American love button. Nice.

There is something about Jon that gets me going too. I love that "sad sack" demeanor about him. He was in the movie "Daredevil" and I thought he was completely adorable.

I noticed Favreau in the trailer for the movie and I kept rewinding the Tivo to see his hotness *g*

I think Jon's the main reason I want to see the movie. Did you know he guest starred on "Friends" playing Monica's boyfriend for a couple of episodes. He was also in "Swingers" with Vince. He was dreamy then and is still dreamy now.

Sigh. I'd like to see Jon Favreau and Mark Addy make a movie together. That'd be hot!
