Weekend Update 1 -- Museum Visit
May. 14th, 2006 05:31 pmFirst, big birthday hugs to
stripedtiger on this Mother's Day :)
Mike (
mikiedoggie) showed up late Thursday for the weekend, but we got up early Friday for breakfast at Panera and a visit to the Contemporary Arts Center in downtown Cincinnati.

The museum had some pretty neat exhibits going on, from home design to the stylings of an art group from the 1960's-70's called the "Ant Farm." Mike and I came to the conclusion that the Ant Farm guys were pretty much stoned often (there is even a video with the swivling camera angles like "That's 70's Show"). Still, the exhibits were pretty good, I highly recommend the visit.
The top floor is the children's museum which is a lot of fun, very hands-on with lots of things that make noise and flash lights. There is one area with a parbolic floor, a music cube, a stand for conducting music, and the pink area near the art stations. Mike took a lot of photos, but I'll let him post those, especially my more embarrassing ones. Some are icon-worthy :)
