Painting and Electrical Wiring by Me

kybearfuzzAfter last night's prep work, I decided to call in today and spend the day getting my bedroom painted and put back together. It took a lot longer than the last time, but I am really thrilled with the way the color turned out. I never knew how much sweating I do by painting a room, it really wore me out.
Just as I was getting the room done, the light switch on my bedroom sink light screwed up. After the last $177 visit by an electrician (and the subsequent well-deserved jabs from you guys), I elected to fix this one myself. So back to Home Depot for a new switch and a stop off to get Domino's Pizza for dinner. Oh the manager there is a nice looking guy named Jake, early 30's, tall and leaner, blue eyes, dark hair with furry chest and arms, and a graying goatee.. sigh... but I digress...
So when I get the switch plate off and pull the switch out I realize that the wires look nothing like the box. There are supposed to be one copper wire, one black and one white. aceofspace who helped walk me through it. The switch is working again. I feel so much more butch and saved about $175.
The bedroom is put back together finally after 12 hours of painting and stuff and I am exhausted. I would love to call in again tomorrow, but I think I'd be pushing my luck. Darn it...
