Apr. 14th, 2006 12:41 pmUgh! My office is deserted today because of the holiday weekend. It is SOOOO dull here... Here are some questions that were tossed around during various lunch outings this week:
- What was the worst job you've ever had?
- What DVD in your collection falls under the category "guilty pleasure?"
- Who among your siblings (if you have them) is the "favorite?"
- Are you a winter, spring, summer, or autumn?
- If you could relocate anywhere in the world, job and home included, where would you go?
- Waiter at the Boone Tavern Hotel Dining Room. On your feet all that time and having to please everyone. Of course I was in college, so I had other things going on too.
- I have the first season of Jem. Truly Outrageous!
- The twin is hands-down the favorite. Though my sister, being the only girl in the sibs, also has a special spot in my mom's heart.
- Actually, I can wear all colors pretty well (so I have been told), but I think I'm a spring, I like greens and blues...
- Ireland, though I have to admit that Toronto and Vancouver look really good to me.

Date: 2006-04-14 05:18 pm (UTC)2. Harry Potter (all 4 current)
3. As my mom said to my Dad back on July 4th, 1995. "Your Son is Gay, and your daughter is not yours"...so I would say equally favorites.
4. Depends on who you ask, but mainly pastels.
5. Never been out of the U.S., so I would have to do more research.

Date: 2006-04-14 05:36 pm (UTC)My responses to the questions would be:
1. St. Paul, MN firm that hired me, was incredibly disorganized and then let me go due to their incompetence 4 months later.
2. Movies - Fame, Can't Stop the Music (yes, that one with Bruce Jenner in it), and The High and The Mighty (I can't believe I'm listing a John Wayne movie). I just feel so dirty now.
3. Sadly, I don't have one I'd call 'favorite'.
4. I seem to prefer the autumn colors. I guess it's because I'm so drab.
5. Two choices (other than SF which I love) - South Island of New Zealand (been there, incredible place) or Vancouver, BC (been there several times, would live there in a heartbeat).

Date: 2006-04-14 06:14 pm (UTC)2. Legally Blonde/How High/several BDSM flicks I own *blushes*
3. Don't have any siblings (that I know of. long story)
4. I can throw something together for all of them when in the right mood.
5. Southern Cali, the Bay Area, Amsterdaam, upstate New York

Date: 2006-04-14 10:47 pm (UTC)2. This year's birthday gift: Michael Jackson music videos.
3. Me. I was the "easiest": I sat where I was told, I was always quiet, I brought home top-notch grades, etc. My mother practically admitted to me as such that I was the 'favorite'... but then again, she could have told all of us that.
4. Um. No idea. I wear black.
5. I really really love being in Chicago, so I'd prefer to stay here, just a better apartment.

Date: 2006-04-15 03:03 am (UTC)2- Mas que amor frenesi. Spanish movie with the most cliquish dialogues ever. but it was such a cool movie for its time.
3- I have no siblings.. so hard to choose from. No.. I wasn't a spoilt child. No, I didn't kill my siblings either
4- every season has its charm... but I think definitely summer, as it reminds me of my childhood in the beach, playing with my friends in the shore, and with a bright nonburning sun on top of us...
5- That depends .... for single life.. a bright city, any big city. For partnered life, I would rather go to the calm places I know... Mykonos, the green lively mountains of Slovenja, Indian coast, or the (for me) best city in the world to live: San Sebastian.

Date: 2006-04-15 12:38 pm (UTC)2- "Can't Stop the Music" with the Village People. It's a classic.
3- I'm the baby in the family. Thus I'm the favorite.
4- I'm an autumn. I look good in orange and browns.
5- I'm assuming with this relocation is an "unlimited money" plan. If so, it would probably be New York. But I would need two houses. One in the city and one further away with a bit a land.

Date: 2006-04-16 03:54 am (UTC)But my mom worked at the local public school and thought it would be good for me to get this job after school.
I love my mom, but I think that was a big parenting mistake. Eighth grade is too soon to have a part time job.
