Escaping to Draw
Jun. 29th, 2014 08:46 pmBefore I dealt with the events of my hometown trip, I managed to have a bit of "me time" at the local coffee shop. I doodled the outline of this cartoon in the shop, wondering if the clerk who was very hipsterish saw it or not. Either way, I liked how it turned out.
I'm not a huge fan of sports. I like playing them, but watching them bores me. However, while having some after work beer with some co-workers a couple of weeks back, I happened to catch a rugby game and remembered how freakin' hot some of these rugby players are. Tight shirts, tight shorts, thick furry legs, beards and body hair -- what is not to love.
So I drew Grizzly as a rugby player. The last comic had him playing softball, so why not rugby too. This may find its way into the comic at some point.
