kybearfuzz: (Say Wha?)
I'd planned to post this yesterday, but I really wanted to get the fifth issue of "Grizzly & The Bear Patrol" up and I really didn't have the chance to do multiple posts.

This weekend was VERY busy! The Cincinnati Pride weekend was full of events, and I attended most of them, if only for a little bit.

Bear Flag at the 701 BarFriday was the Pub Crawl. $10 to hop a bus that ran the circuits around town to the different bars. I started at the 701 Bar in Covington where I ran into a group of guys and a couple of straight girls who were half lit it seemed before it started. One of them was a pink-tinted-blonde girl with multiple piercings and tats who proclaimed that she wanted to get drunk and make out with a hot Lesbian. After we had got on the bus, both girls had flashed their boobs for beads while the bus was in motion. The Lebsians on the bus loved it.

Pride Shirt Around MidnightAt the first stop, I ran into Brian ([livejournal.com profile] cincycub) and his group of friends. We then went to a hipster type bar called Neon Unplugged. It was an interesting bar, I think I was the only one from the bus line there, judging by the number of wristbands I saw. At least the guy at the door liked my shirt. And the bar had Young's Double Chocolate Stout available (in a can, but beggars and choosers).

Soon after arriving, I was wearing out. It was about 1:30 AM, so I hoofed it back downtown to catch my bus back to the 701 Bar to get my car. Standing on a street corner in downtown Cincinnati at 2 AM made me feel very hooker-like. Thank heavens I'd left my stilettos at home.

Saturday I went to Covington to hit the NKY Pride Festival where I ran into [livejournal.com profile] chrisglass selling his amazing tee-shirts as well running into other folks, like Derek ([livejournal.com profile] _decibel_) and Chris ([livejournal.com profile] kybigstew). It was hot but with a bit of a breeze and good fun.

More Chris GlassSunday, I'd planned to stay in as the heat had worn me out. Then a visiting online friend from Chicago texted me and asked me to meet him downtown. so we met for a very late lunch and ran into Chris' booth again. I took a few photos after my friend left, seeing Brian and the Cincinnati Mens Chorus sing a couple of numbers and snapping a pic of Mr. Glass and the bear flag before heading home.

I didn't take many photos, but the bulk of them are in this Flickr Set.

Softball tonight.. ugh.. the heat...
