Softball the Morning After...
Jul. 6th, 2011 09:15 amOh those double-header softball games are hard on a body the next morning.
My team played a very competitive team the first game, but I think we held our own. We played really well. It was just so freakin' hot out and I had sweated through my clothes within the first inning or so. By the end of the game, my shorts were dripping in sweat and my socks were soaked.
We had hour break between games which gave me a chance to dry off. We played a team closer to our skill level on the second game. I had a couple of great tag-outs at home plate (I'm playing catcher these days). One of the tag outs was with a very hot, beefy cub-type -- 6'0", brown hair, goatee and mustache, wide-shoulders. It was a pleasure. His girlfriend in the dugout probably wasn't so impressed. I made a couple of goofs, but I'm trying not to concentrate on those.
So home at 11:30 PM, shower and change, then bed at midnight. It makes for a very rough morning when the alarm goes off at 5.
