Waiting and Waiting
Aug. 6th, 2010 08:22 amYesterday I was waiting for the TV repair guy to show up at home. My big screen TV is still under the extended warranty I purchased and last week the HDMI ports stopped working. While the cable guy managed to get the HD TV to work through another setup, I want those other ports to work. So I called and got an appointment with a repair service and took off work early to get home in time for the two hour window they usually give.
From 3 to 5 PM I waited, even waiting until 5:30 in case the repair guy got caught in Cincinnati's rush hour traffic. I called the repair service only to find out that the service they use has "limited personnel this week." Ummm... you've known that for two days and no one called me?
So there is another service call for today, but they are supposed to call me with the when. I told the lady I'd already taken off an afternoon from work for this and wasn't taking another one. She seemed to understand that, but it makes me wonder what kind of hours this service may have.
... poop... :(
