kybearfuzz: (Dreaming)
It's very strange to have a dream where I return to a similar setting. In the past I had a dream where my parents lived in a huge home but only lived in one small part of the house. I had friends that came over and I was taking them through the other parts of the house that my folks didn't use.

The whole "basement" of the house was essentially a separate home, complete with a fully functioning kitchen, three bedrooms, two baths, long tiled hallways, etc. The basement part of the home was actually bigger than the upstairs. This part of the house was also fully furnished by the previous occupants of the home. Two of the bedrooms were for two daughters, both decorating their rooms in bright, vivid colors and full of toys. I even recall seeing a bust of Tim Gunn in one of the rooms (yeah, I finished up season 3 on DVD last night). The parents' bedroom was very formal. The bathroom was fully stocked, complete with three hair dryers in a holder, one for each of the girls.

It was as if the people just disappeared one day, leaving the house untouched. I was trying to remember why my parents hadn't let me take the furniture, or even better, just move into the area. As I was showing each of my friends the rooms, it occurred to me that the family had died by homicide and I was remembering where each victim had been found in relation to their room. The reason my parents didn't use the downstairs section of the house is because it was haunted.

I remember dreaming about this house before, one I don't recall ever having been in, but remember that the haunted section had never been used by my family and we rarely ventured into it.
kybearfuzz: (Movie Buff)
I never posted the answers to the Christmas cartoons I did for the office holiday party. Sorry I forgot. For those interested, they are behind the cut.
