The Flight Home (so far)
Sep. 26th, 2009 01:59 pmThe morning started off pretty well. I had breakfast with my two coworkers, checked out of the hotel, and had an easy drive to the airport. Then things fell apart. Thanks to the local airline strike the airport was packed. Luckily, I was flying Continental who hadn't been on strike.
Then the guy at the ticket counter informed me my ticket was for TOMORROW! After having a WTF moment, I realized my trip planner screwed up the reservation. So after blowing $3.50 for 15 minutes of Internet access, calling overseas to the after hours travel service, and cursing my planner with a slow, painful demise, I sank into my flight with a little time to spare.
The flight so far was good. And it's grand to have my iPhone working back to full functionality again with phone and internet service. I've felt naked without it. And not in a good way.
