Well, my time here in France is nearly done. I fly out to Portugal tomorrow morning. The internet that I'm PAYING for is doing weird things to certain sites as it is hanging up on Flickr and even here on LJ so I can't upload any of the photos I've taken in France. I'm hoping to have better luck in Portugal.
The time here has been fun. I admit though that I've been a bad tourist and haven't sampled the local wine and very little of the food, which is sad. However, I've been working the last two evenings and getting out to find something has been reduced to things I can take back to the room. Luckily, the company I've been working with this week took me to a great little French place for lunch the last two days where I had duck and potatoes, tarte flambe (which was a thin crust pizza with cheese and onions that was brick oven cooked) and had a fantastic desert yesterday of "oeuf de la neige" (snow eggs), which was chunks of whipped meringue (sp?) with a buttery vanilla sauce. I've gained weight here, I can sense it.
One week down, one to go and Portugal is the sunniest of the three places. Short sleeves! Woo Hoo!
