The Proposal
Jun. 28th, 2009 12:30 amI've been really bad at keeping up with the movie posts of late. I'll try to get better at that.

cincycub) and I went to dinner and a movie tonight. We saw The Proposal. When brutal publishing editor Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) is in danger of being deported to Canada, she snags her last immediate hope of staying the USA by forcing her assistant Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her. As they get to know each other on a weekend to his Alaskan hometown to try to beat the Immigration service, things take a turn to worse when his parents suggest they get married there.
I adore Sandra Bullock and think she is in her element in doing comedy. Ryan Reynolds always looks good and seems to be growing into the role of goofy leading guy. The great prize is Betty White as the grandmother, who easily could have stolen the movie.
Did I enjoy the movie? Very much.
Would I see it again? Oh yeah.
Buy the DVD? Maybe...
