Sunday Aftermath
Jun. 16th, 2008 08:50 amThe day after dancing is hard on a man who hasn't done it in a while. I ache, but it's a good ache... Some odds and ends from yesterday include:
The Incredible Hulk
I was impressed. Not as good as Iron Man, but very fun to watch. The plot was engaging, the acting was surprisingly good (even by Liv Tyler, I guess a good director can make a difference... or lots of reshoots), and the extra scene before the credits was fun. I'd watch it again and may even buy this one.
Father's Day
With my dad having passed away over nine years ago, I guess I don't pay that much attention to this holiday. I often wonder what he would have done if he were still around when I came out of the closet. I know the answer for the most part and feel it's best he probably never knew for certain. When a man has a son, I think he probably envisions him as a star athlete, rugged and macho. I don't think a comic book reading, superhero-drawing, Wonder Woman-twirling son like me fit that paradigm very well. Thank heavens the twin did or it could have gotten ugly. No drama intended, just an observation.. :)

After visiting the home of
_decibel_ and
kybigstew over the weekend, I realize I really need to visit Ikea and redo the house a bit. Love their home!
oh... and Mondays really suck... *yawn*
