Dreaming About The End of the World
Feb. 25th, 2008 05:27 amI was dreaming in comic book fashion this time. The world was being attacked by a giant beagle (yes, a dog) that was apparently designed by Lex Luthor. The military was trying to blast the dog, but found that the only way to destroy it was to be eaten by it.
While Superman was fighting the animal, Power Girl found Luthor's hidden lair that was a gladiator style arena full of people watching the battle on the big screen. In the center of the arena was a device that require three Pokemon type balls to end it. Power Girl had found one of them and thought that by putting the sphere into one of the marked holes, the dog would be defeated. Luthor saw what she was trying to do and begged her to stop. When she inserted the ball, the world literally disintegrated.
The only people left were Luthor, Power Girl, and the people at the arena, myself apparently included. Using a telepathic ability she never had the comics, she wiped the minds of the people clean, else they would create a cult and go after her, according to Luthor. Then she used a Thor-like hammer to open dimensional portals to send the people to alternate worlds. She left herself and Luthor there, the arena crumbling and both of them running out of air.
I must have been sent through one of the portals, as I ended up at a Celine Dion concert, watching the anorexic singer torture the audience with her vocal acrobatics. She rushed up into the stands to hug her son, who was wearing a full dress and two ponytails. I was wondering why she'd let her son dress like a girl, but I've seen his photos and he could pass in an instant. Unfortunately, the concert was being held on a ship, so I couldn't leave.
Great, I thought, Power Girl destroyed the world and she sent me to hell.
