2007 Christmas Card Postscripts
Feb. 3rd, 2008 01:42 pmMy buddy
bearpaco was noticing my new icon and asked if it was part of a larger cartoon. It is from this past year's Christmas card design I sent to friends and family, I refer to it as my "nice" card. Naturally, there is a "naughty" one too. My nice card is below.

The inside caption reads, "I hope all your holidays are full of fun. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!" It sort of captured the indecisiveness I felt when trying to come up with ideas for it. I thought the likeness was actually pretty good considering how long I worked on it, and I thought a cartoon image of me would be a good icon for my toons when I posted them. Even my twin, who never throws out compliments, made comment on it. I consider that high praise. I put the naughty card behind the cut. There is no nudity, but I didn't want to fill up journals with too many images.

My nice cards generally go out to family and to friends who might appreciate the design of the card more. The naughty cards are generally for my gay friends who are more likely enjoy the humor in it. I'm careful not to mix them up as I don't think my mom would appreciate a scene of a nipple-pierced Santa Claus in a harness, though I would love to see her face when she opened it!
Oh, and the twin... his reaction would be priceless... maybe I should rethink this..
