The New Year, Movies, and Other Stuff
Jan. 2nd, 2008 01:50 pmI'm off this week, burning the last of my vacation leave for 2007 before I lose it. The timing right after my unexpected work trip to Northern Michigan was very good. Long drives wear me out, long drives during snowy weather even more so.
So I've been goofing around for the most part, no real plans. I've no real resolutions for this 2008 either. Weight Watchers is working well for me, I got my promotion at work, and my work travel and responsibilities haven't been overly taxing, so I'm hoping to just stay the course for a while.
I've enjoyed sleeping in this week so far. I hate the sound of an alarm clock in the morning. I have also hit a few great movies of late. I saw a late screening of P.S. I Love You last night. It is a very cute sad & funny movie, Hilary Swank does a fine job as the greiving widow whose late husband set up a series of letters and tasks for her to help her move on with her life. Lisa Kudrow and Gina Gershon are her helpful friends and Gerard Butler her late husband. I recommend the movie. I'll likely buy the DVD.
Today is more of the same. Some Chipotle and some bad horror DVD's and I think today will work out just fine.
