Secret Santa
Dec. 18th, 2007 07:47 amWell, I'm in the office today. So far, so good. I bought two dozen bagels as today is my branch's food day, where everyone brings in goodies to share. I'm not baking for everyone, so buying is better. I found my Secret Santa gift, a Dave-and-Buster's letter opener and a plastic cord for my id badge (I know they have a name, but I don't remember it... it's early.. give me a break). If the day goes sour, I can always use them as a garotte and a knife. And isn't that what Martha tells us, to use things in imaginative ways?
While doing my own Secret Santa shopping, I found a small book called "Momma Loves Her Some Eggnog" by MikWright, which is a collection of old 1960's/1970's family holiday photos with funny sayings. I was laughing pretty hard in the bookstore looking at it, so I had to buy it. Here are a couple of examples:
