Christmas Shopping Round Three....
Dec. 15th, 2007 08:24 pmI got up early.. then napped.. then up again around 1 PM. I love Saturdays. After a shower and shoveling the snow/slush from my driveway, I headed to Chipotle for lunch and then on-ward for more shopping.
I hit the Yankee Candle Company for some small votives for my Secret Santa person. I told the saleslady what I was shopping for and she helped me pick out some that seem to be favorites with most ladies. So three votives later for her... and six for me... and I was one gift closer to being done.
Still needing a final present for my person, I went to Pier 1 Imports, hoping to find an African-themed photo frame (another clue from her desk). No such luck, but I did find a very simple, elegant picture frame that worked and it was on sale, so no big dent in the wallet there. So her final gift list for Monday through Thursday is: a Cincinnati magnet, a small book on random facts, three votive candles, and a photo frame. Thanks to all you guys and gals for suggestions on that.
My sister called during my shopping run asking me to hunt for a Wii for my nephew. I checked three locations so far without luck. From what I've heard, the stores may not be the way to go. She has other feelers out for them, so I'm sure it'll turn up.
