My softball buddy Thom joined me for dinner at the Claddagh Irish Pub and then the movie, which was incredibly crowded. They hand out more passes than there are seats apparently. We were lucky to get in the nosebleeds.
The movie was pretty good. Smith plays a scientist who tries to reverse a devestating infection that has left him alone in NYC with the mutated remainder of the city. It flows pretty well as he goes through his daily life trying to survive with a few questionable slips of sanity. I can't say too much without giving more away. I liked the movie, though it seems a bit slow in some spots.
Did I enjoy the movie? Yes.
Would I see it again? Yes.
Buy the DVD? Nah, I don't see it as something I would watch enough to warrant buying it.
