Halloween Recap and Movies

Just some odds and ends I meant to post yesterday...

• I only had about 25 kids trick-or-treating Halloween night. I thought leaving my front door open would let the kids know I was home but I realized they were passing my house because the neighbors where out on the porches. So I grabbed the iBook and a DVD and sat out to see the kids (and to keep Murphy the cat from escaping into the flower beds every time the door opened to dish out candy). The only really memorable kids were the 4-year old girl as Wonder Woman and the little girl dressed as a cat who loved my big orange kitty.
  
• Back to the gym yesterday. It felt really good, I did 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer. Some nice eye candy there too.
  
• I watched a really interesting DVD from Netflix last night. Girl 27 is documentary about how MGM tricked a young extra/dancer and over 100 other underage girls into attending a stag party, where she was raped back in the 1930's. The documentary describes the trial and how the movie studio went to great lengths to keep it quiet. The girl on the roster sheet for the casting call was #27. The documentary presents the events after the scandal and shows how it effected nearly every aspect of her life from that point on.
  
• I saw on chrisglass's journal that November is 30 days of something... I may try the "Draw More" and post the results... though yesterday was pretty much scribbling... :)
