kybearfuzz: (Dreaming)
I have always said that one of the things I'd like to do if I hit the lottery is go back to college and get a second degree. I just think I'd like the idea of going to college when money was not an issue, giving me one less worry to handle. Tonight I had a dream that I was working on my second degree in art.

It was my second degree and I was back at Berea College for it. I don't recall taking any art classes, but was suffering through two courses I was essentially not attending, a literature class with Professor Gene Startzman, who I had taken a class with before (he was great, but rough), and a class on vector analysis, taken with a high school classmate named Tammy who was doing well in it, though I was struggling.

My twin brother was there, partying his head off. Another childhood friend, Tony, was there for his first degree and I kept asking him why I was there when I already had a degree. The stress of trying to deal with these two classes was driving me crazy...

After this dream, I wonder if the lack of monetary concern would make college the second time better or not...

Sunrise on the Ohio River
Ohio River Sunrise from the Anderson Ferry

Yesterday, my office had an off-site training at one of the SW Cincinnati parks. Instead of fighting my way through bridge traffic and a 12-mile or so drive along the river, I decided to take the Anderson Ferry across and avoid the traffic altogether.

The last time I took a ferry ride, I was in Ireland. I'd forgotten how really relaxing a ferry ride can be. It was a beautiful morning and grabbed my camera quickly when I noted this view yesterday. My only regret is that the ride is over in about five minutes or so. I'm like a kid, I could have ridden it all morning.
