Picking up strangers is dangerous in The Hitcher

The movie centers around a young couple who are traveling through New Mexico on the way to meet her friends and introduce them to her boyfriend. The two fail to pick up a hitchhiker broken down on the side of the road. When they meet up with him at a gas station, they give him a ride out of guilt, only to find out that he's not the nice guy he appeared to be. The hitcher goes on a murder spree, framing the young couple along the way. Much murder and shooting, it moves pretty fast.
I was surprised to find the theater mostly empty. Most horror movie remakes (this one is a remake from the 1986 film) have sucked big time. I was pleasantly surprised that this one was pretty good and the changes from the 1986 film actually work in its favor.
Did I enjoy the movie? Yes.
Would I see it again? I think so.
Buy the DVD? Maybe.
