kybearfuzz: (Movie Buff)
I saw one more Horrorfest flick today. I honestly think I'm a bit worn out from the movies. I at least ended on a high point.

Wicked Little Things tells the story of a newly widowed mother and her two daughters moving to a remote Pennsylvania area to take possession of an inheirited house. The area was the site of a 1913 mining disaster where small children where used to get into small caverns and ended up being sealed up alive after an explosion. However, the children return as the undead and hunt the living during the night, eating any unsuspecting people they come across. When the mother's youngest daughter begins speaking of a new imaginary friend who lives in the mine, things get scary for everyone.

The movie was pretty well put together, low on special effects, big on creepiness. Something about watching small children kill people and then devour them is more disturbing than watching their adult counterparts in living dead movies. Annoying teenagers do get eaten, so there is a bright side. The flick does a good job keeping the audience's attention.

Did I enjoy the movie? Yes.
Would I watch it again? I think so.
Buy the DVD? Hmmmm... maybe.
