kybearfuzz: (Grrrrrrr!!!!)
I was in a good mood this morning, I promise. The air was cool and inviting, I told myself I was going to start today and this fiscal year at work with a new positive attitude.

Then I opened my email and my resolution fell apart. My trip has been changed yet again. The dates are set, but the locations aren't the same. Toronto has been dropped from the trip, so now only Winnipeg and Varennes remain and the trip planned decided to tag on Mexico as a replacement. Mexico... you know, where you don't drink the water... I have nothing against Mexico, but I think I need to be in the right frame of mind for it and I wasn't. I didn't like this mix-and-match trip planning and wrote a slightly scathing email about how this trip kept changing to the powers that be.

Well, it turns out Mexico was a pipe dream and didn't workout, so I'm only gone for two weeks instead of three and both weeks are in Canada. Still, I had hopes of meeting the Canadian LJ'ers while I was there and one particularly handsome burly bear who shall remain nameless.

Damn...
kybearfuzz: (Movie Buff)
I've not posted a movie review for some time. I've seen two in the last couple of weeks, but have gotten behind on the posting.

Bracing for impact
Number Two defines it all

I saw Jackass Number Two the Friday that it came out. I sort of snuck out to see it and didn't really tell anyone at the time. I actually enjoyed this movie. It appeals to my redneck heritage. To sum it up, the whole movie seems to reflect the following joke:

What is the last thing you hear a redneck say before dying?
"Hey, watch this!"

There is one scene that acually made me gag. I managed to cringe and/or laugh at the rest. It's strange how watching this movie makes you glad you're not friends with any of the guys in the movie.

Fabulous Shades
Looking stylish in Open Season

I caught this movie with [livejournal.com profile] mikiedoggie prior to PKI on Friday. Open Seasonrevolves around a pet bear who meets up with an idiotic deer right before hunting season. Due to the said deer, the bear gets returned to the wild and inadvertantly finds himself and the deer in the sights of the local hunters while trying to get back to town. There is some adult humor in this movie, including a pooping scene that was hilarious. Kids will like it and we adults did too :)

Did I enjoy the movies? Yes to both.
Would I see them again? I think so.
Buy the DVD's? Hmmmm... not sure for either one.
