Class Day One

I made it okay into DC, but there wasn't exactly any doubt of that. Class has been relatively boring today, not a surprise there either. Some points of the trip so far:

• People who read from their slides word for word should have things thrown at them. Heavy things. With spikes.
  
• Not sure about internet access this trip. I may not be on much.
  
• Sitting in the back of the room is good and bad. Good that you have easy access to leave the room. Bad because the instructors sit back there and watch you.
  
• Good thing -- Burly Bear Presenter with Mississippi accent.
  
• Bad thing -- listening to him for 2.5 hrs on touchy-feely subject.
  
• There is a movie theater across the street from the hotel, so I may squeeze in a movie or two.

One big negative of the trip is that I'm missing SOFTBALL and we have a double-header tonight. I don't have the times, but I think we play the two early games. Fun crowd, nice weather, cheap beer. Someone let me know if we win.
