The Day Off and Back in the Hometown
Aug. 4th, 2006 03:38 pmWell, I took the day off after a miserable day at work yesterday. I'm not sure what is going on, but I have been lethargic for days, coming home and napping. It's made me less than productive at work and it needs to stop. I got up this morning and had all kinds of energy, so much that I mowed by yard and the neighbors, to an acceptable height I might add, before 10 AM. The weather today is perfect, not too hot and not to moist (hee hee.. I said "moist").
The drive to my hometown was uneventful. Sometimes I like the drives because it gives me time to sing in the car and to ponder some personal work issues I foresee coming up. I did stop and pick up comic books and stop by my grandparents' graves. I was passing the cemetery and realized I hadn't been there since my grandmother passed in 2000 and figured I should pay a visit. I miss her a lot.
I'm at the public library again, so internet usage this weekend will be minimal. My 20-something admirer from this post is here, but thankfully not sitting by me. He walked by me and still has BO and had grown even more gross if that's possible. Not sure he recognized me, for which I am thankful. I wish I had a bar of soap or some deodorant to donate to him. I saw him talking to one of the librarians and his shorts were practically falling off of him. Ewwww... the things I've seen, I'm thankful to a Higher Power that I still retain my eyesight, even though I feel the need to scrub the corneas.
I think I'm meeting friends Stewart and David for The Descent tonight. And I'm looking forward to seeing
bookish_cub on Sunday at the airport. It'll be a fun weekend :)
