kybearfuzz: (Gossip)
So much to report....
  • Friday night -- [livejournal.com profile] ericdabear braved the elements to get here. He's a brave soul. He and I went to Union Station (after Universal Grill said they couldn't seat us right away in their half empty restaurant) with [livejournal.com profile] cincycub, [livejournal.com profile] nonljeric, [livejournal.com profile] aaron1978 and his hubby Sean, and the visiting [livejournal.com profile] vdubcub. Dinner was good as was the service, the latter of which is atypical. Everyone had fun.
  • Eric left Saturday morning for Cleveland to see family. I was happy to have him visit.
  • I went to Columbus that afternoon for [livejournal.com profile] demcub and [livejournal.com profile] fedex_cub's housewarming party. They have a beautiful home. Lots of good food and a steady stream of eye candy coming in thanks to Bear Camp and their guest list. I had a great time :)
  • Note to self: Attend Bear Camp next year.
  • On the way home, I stopped by the Serpent to see if Paul the bartender was working. I got to see Burger instead and had a beer. He was in a leather vest and a leather jock strap. He's got a great chest and a fantastic ass though he keeps telling me mine is better. I beg to differ.
  • Work tomorrow.. bah!

Paul Giamatti stars in Lady in the Water

I was chatting with a local 411 daddy bear and he asked if I wanted to catch a movie. We settled on Lady in the Water at Wilder.

The movie centers about an apartment complex superintendent, played by Paul Giamatti, who discovers a woman in the complex pool who is from another world. The lady in the water, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, is there to find someone who will help change our future world. Her efforts to get home are plagued, however, by a wolf-like creature intent on killing her. There are some nice scary scenes and some funny scenes in the movie. The story however waivers a bit and asks the audience to believe quite a bit, even though this is a sort of fairy tale. It's a bit confusing in the middle.

Giamatti is wonderful though. I've grown to genuinely like his work. He has very attractive and expressive eyes, they remind me of [livejournal.com profile] stripedtiger's eyes actually. I think Giamatti is going to become my new celebrity crush. He is usually a bearded bear of a guy, usually playing someone very human. He swims in the movie shirtless and his furry front and back are very visible :) With the body shaving (and possibly hair removal) he's had done, Jeremy Piven has disappointed me and may drop in current standings.

My daddy bear company was and is a nice, friendly guy. It's good to have new friends.

Did I enjoy the movie? Yes, it was entertaining.
Would I see it again? Maybe.
Buy the DVD? Maybe.
