On the Road Again -- Cleveland...
Feb. 13th, 2006 06:32 pmNothing like bad weather and a strong desire to stay home to make fate step in to send me out of town for the week. As some of my friends will attest, I've been whining about it for a week or so. I'm up north this time in Cleveland, where it's blistery cold and there has been a great deal of snow on the ground. I look forward to Friday just to get home.
On the long boring way up, I had my iPod blaring. One of the songs playing was "Harper Valley PTA" by Martina McBride off of the Desperate Housewives soundtrack. I had always loved this song and loved the movie starring Barbara Eden even more. After work today, I stopped by Sam's Club (yes, yes, I know.. evil) and lo and behold there was Harper Valley P.T.A. on DVD for $4.72.

Her momma wearing her "dresses way too high..." in Harper Valley PTA
There is something about finding a great movie on DVD for next to nothing that makes my mood improve considerably. I also picked up Logan's Run, which I've never seen, for the same price. Seeing how it's way too cold to go out, it's a good distraction while I'm working on stuff tonight.
Capote is playing nearby, so I may catch an early movie tomorrow...
