Weekend Recap
Aug. 22nd, 2005 10:53 amNothing much happened on Friday and Saturday, just was in a vegetative state for most of it. While chatting with
cincycub and
nonljeric yesterday, I was invited to go see The 40 Year Old Virgin, which was hilarious. Full of crude humor, but the main actor going through the motions and embarrassment of being that old and still virginal was great. It definitely had stuff that I'd not seen in movies before. Before the movie we got a glimpse of white trash, this one lady with high hair, leopard print halter, tight chinos, and sandals. She was Peggy Bundy, but blond... ish. Now her guy was nice to look at, big muscular guy, facial hair, in a tank top that showed of the fur going all the way up his arms and shoulders.. if only he'd get rid of that 2 foot rat tail he was sporting. Sigh.. nothing like people watching.
After the movie, the crew went to Red Robin for dinner, where we were summarily waited on by the worst waitress ever. Imagine five guys with menus ready to order while the waitress recanted lively tales of her kid, her other job, and other uninteresting things. After waiting a while for drinks, except Brian, whose drink came with a nice little umbrella (love ya :), we finally got our meals and only two of them were wrong. At least we got served, the couple next to use waited 20 minutes for DRINKS, which they had to go get themselves. I'm still frightened that we trusted this waitress with our collective credit cards.
Well, I'm officially in Columbus, taking a break from unpacking and trying out the wireless internet here at the hotel. Yay, it works. I am having dinner with the hilarious and adorable Dan (aka
stripedtiger) after work tonight. Well, time for lunch... :)
