Nothing much happened on Friday and Saturday, just was in a vegetative state for most of it. While chatting with [livejournal.com profile] cincycub and [livejournal.com profile] nonljeric yesterday, I was invited to go see The 40 Year Old Virgin, which was hilarious. Full of crude humor, but the main actor going through the motions and embarrassment of being that old and still virginal was great. It definitely had stuff that I'd not seen in movies before. Before the movie we got a glimpse of white trash, this one lady with high hair, leopard print halter, tight chinos, and sandals. She was Peggy Bundy, but blond... ish. Now her guy was nice to look at, big muscular guy, facial hair, in a tank top that showed of the fur going all the way up his arms and shoulders.. if only he'd get rid of that 2 foot rat tail he was sporting. Sigh.. nothing like people watching.

After the movie, the crew went to Red Robin for dinner, where we were summarily waited on by the worst waitress ever. Imagine five guys with menus ready to order while the waitress recanted lively tales of her kid, her other job, and other uninteresting things. After waiting a while for drinks, except Brian, whose drink came with a nice little umbrella (love ya :), we finally got our meals and only two of them were wrong. At least we got served, the couple next to use waited 20 minutes for DRINKS, which they had to go get themselves. I'm still frightened that we trusted this waitress with our collective credit cards.

Well, I'm officially in Columbus, taking a break from unpacking and trying out the wireless internet here at the hotel. Yay, it works. I am having dinner with the hilarious and adorable Dan (aka [livejournal.com profile] stripedtiger) after work tonight. Well, time for lunch... :)

Two odd things happened earlier today. The first involved two cutesy college chicks at the next table at Max & Erma's for lunch. One got a phone call from a girlfriend who needed a college roommate. The one girl who answered the phone replied to her friend, "Well, what about Erin? You know, the one who was in trouble with the law last semester.." Poor girl, even her friends don't seem to like her.

The second one had me at a stop light with the window down. A car with a man and woman pulled up beside me and just yelled "Hi" as politely as possible. I just smiled nervously and said "hi" back. They drove off when the light went green. Very pleasant, but very strange.

I had a great night with [livejournal.com profile] stripedtiger. He picked me up from my hotel and we had dinner at The Happy Greek. Flaming cheese, the various spreads on pita bread, and Chicken Athena made for one of the tastiest dinners I've had in a while... and better service than that hag gave us at the Red Robin the other night. I'm not bitter :) After filling up on dinner, we walked to the Open Book bookstore and I checked out the dirty movies and the store's cat, Harvey Milk, who is really sweet tomcat. After the bookstore, we went to Cold Stone Creamery for desert (yes, we're pigs.. but we're happy pigs..). A quick walk though the local park and Dan took me back to my hotel. He's such a sweet guy :)

Well, now I'm full and beat, so I'll sleep well tonight...
