Substitute Monday...
May. 31st, 2005 08:10 pmAfter a night of not sleeping well, I was sitting on my bed, my stomach doing flips, wondering what the heck I was doing getting ready for work. I called in and went downstairs for something to settle my tummy.
I hopped on 411 for a brief moment and had a bear from the Northwest chat me up again and wanted to talk on the phone. I figured why not and called him. In the ensuing conversation, he asked if I could fly up there this weekend. Knowing it was WAY TOO SOON for that sort of thing, I explained that my travel schedule was tight in the next couple of months and that I'd likely be taking some time off to see family after my European work trip. He told me that apparently "love wasn't a priority" for me. Ugh... okay, bachelor #1, thanks for playing. I was tired so I just said good-bye and got off the phone.
After about five more hours of sleep, I woke up and actually ate something, got the nerve to dress, and go grocery shopping. The cupboard was bare. Afer getting home, I threw my pj's back on and settled on the couch to watch my Scrubs DVD. OMG! How have I missed this show??? It is absolutely hilarious. It has an Ally McBeal sort of feel to it with some excellent writing.
I'm feeling better, but I've been eating some pretty bland stuff today, which I think helped. Back to the salt mines tomorrow...
