Weekend Update ... without Tina Fey
Mar. 13th, 2005 11:08 amSaturday, I got up early to drive to Columbus to help Dan (
stripedtiger) move to his new digs. I like both his old place and his new one. I'll have to convince him to post pictures of his old place before the packing commenced. His new place is four floors total, including a really cool attic. The bright spot is that I got to meet
jeffinthebox and a few guys I've chatted with or seen on Bear411, but never met in person.
Dan took me and Stan to dinner at Union Station in Columbus. The restaurant is a really great place. I wish Cincinnati had a cafe like this one, nice big projection screen playing music, a stage for shows, but a fair amount of room so you're not cramped. I fell off the low-carb wagon. Those deep fried mac and cheese bites were awesome and so was the double cheeseburger and fries. I'm pretty sure I got cruised by a guy at another table.. or he was staring at me wondering when they let rednecks in the joint. Ah well...
I went to bed pretty tired last night and a bit sore this morning. I decided to treat myself to breakfast at Bob Evans, where I saw a really cute cubby manager named Mark. Mark is about my height, thick black goatee, nice shoulders, a bit of a tummy, a nice butt, and no wedding ring. Sitting at the bar, I got to see him walk at a fast pace doing managerial things, bending over to pick things up, etc. Well, when I eat alone, I have to occupy my mind somehow. The rest of the day will be house cleaning and laundry. Ah, the exciting life of a bachelor.
