A Day At the Movies
Jan. 8th, 2005 06:33 pmI met up with
cincycub Brian at the Levee today. Brian is a sweet, sweet guy, he took me to lunch at Jax Grill and then a movie as a belated birthday gift. Many many thanks! :)
We went to see White Noise at AMC. I have to admit, I was disappointed in the flick. I love suspenseful movies and ghost stories. While the movie had a few of those moments, it seemed to take a while to get to the climax, which was a letdown. It had such a good premise too. Michael Keaton is showing his age though, he's getting up there in years. Neither Brian nor I could remember his last good movie... or his last movie for that matter. There is one character in the movie I found burly and cute, but to tell you who would ruin the flick for some folks, so I'll keep quiet.
I bought my yearly Harry Potter calendar and Far Side desk calendar for work. It's an odd system I have that I'll explain some other time. On the shopping front, the twin got me a $50 gift certificate at Amazon.com for our birthday (he got wireless Game Cube controllers from me), so I'll be cyber shopping tonight. Whoo Hoo! Let the good DVD's roll.
