Frantic Substitute Friday
Jun. 10th, 2004 01:44 pmToday is Friday for me, thanks to the "national day of mourning" for government employees. I'm not getting much done, I admit. I can't concentrate. The trip is looming ever so close and I can think are things like, "Did I pay that bill in time? Have I forgotten my plane ticket? I need to do laundry, etc"
It doesn't help that I have one supervisor who has been calling every five minutes with stupid questions (not my supervisor, mind you!). In addition, I have one co-worker, whom I'll call Mr. Helpful, who has been coming up to me giving advice on how to get around Canada plus maps and tourist stuff, so I don't get "lost". It's Canada, you idiot, not some Third World country where they don't speak English! He constantly is thinking of something else to tell me.
I think I'm leaving early today just to get away from the madness and get home where so many things still need to get done.
