Yesterday's work-at-home day garnered a 16 page report that I just put the finishing touches on. Actually, considering the size of the report and attachments, I'm surprised I got it done so quickly. My poor boss is swamped and I felt a bit bad slamming the newest report down on his desk, but that is why I was off yesterday.

I'm looking outside the window and yearning to be out there... sunny and mild, it looks so nice out. I'm leaving early and meeting a buddy to see if we can catch Harry Potter today. What a mess that will be I imagine, but we'll give it a shot.

Ah, the sweet bliss of sleeping in tomorrow...

It's been a busy day since I left work at noon. My boss and I went to lunch, we're both the low carb guys. We started chatting about relatonships, my being gay, somehow got onto religion, and the evils of Catholicism (my apologies to any Catholics reading this). There are just some things about the Catholic church I have issues with (I'm a recovering Baptist, by the way). It was good conversation I thought.

I met my buddy Bill for Harry Potter. We had a little time before the show, so I visited the comic book shop. The movie was very good and fairly true to the book. Naturally some smaller scenes had to be cut out due to time, but I thought it was a wonderful movie. No spoilers, but I highly recommend it. That Emma Watson (Hermione) is going to be a real heartbreaker when she grows up.

Afterwards we hit Chipotle for dinner. I got the chicken burrito bowl, no rice, extra cheese -- fairly low carb and delicious! -- followed by a trip to Half-Price Books. My weakness for bookstores is legendary. I'm finally home, some 16 hours after I left it this morning and I'm beat. Very content, but beat.
