Another weekend gone/dental woes
May. 2nd, 2004 10:00 pmThis weekend went by so fast. I had a pretty good couple of days. I went to lunch and a movie with a buddy at the Levee. Mean Girls is a teenager flick, I know, but it was funny and I did enjoy it. Afterwards I went to my buddy's place to watch the Redwings lose and just have some general catch up conversation. Today went by nearly as fast, even though I just cleaned house, did laundry, and watched TV.
I'm going to have to visit my doctor and my dentist. I have a intermittant crackling sound in my right ear and I think I have a cavity in my back molar. Ugh! More money to be spent on the latter part. Unfortunately, I've decided to go to a new dentist. The guy I go to is a young guy and a decent dentist, but his "bedside" manner needs work. He is always dressed to the nines, wearing a tie and cufflinks with his shirts, and for some reason it strikes me as pretentious. He doesn't seem like he's dressed comfortably or that he's dressed to work. It reeks of money and I am not comfortable around him. He's never very jovial, always business like. Shallow as it sounds, I just don't like him.
How do I pick a new dentist? I look in my preferred provider book for my insurance and find a name I like. LOL! Very scientific. ;) Anyone local want to recommend one?
