First off, happy birthday wishes to [livejournal.com profile] clintswan, who I think is one of the best-looking, hardest-working guys on here!

The office Bake Sale was a success, raising over $100 for our end year holiday party fund. I made it home with 20 cupcakes, which isn't bad considering I left home with 50. Ah well, next year, I'll try something different. It doesn't stop me from shooting dagger stares at the Foghorn though. Grrrrr!!

One of my coworkers, who is from Ethiopia, brought something neat for the sale, "sambrusas" -- ground meat with peppers, onion, garlic, and spices, sealed in a small breaded wrap and fried. They were INCREDIBLE!! They sold out of them in 30 minutes and I was lucky to get two of them. I've definitely got to get the recipe for those.

It's raining today and very dull. I should have taken off, but I have a conference call at 1 PM, dang it! Weekend plans are up in the air. Not sure what I'll do. Any suggestions? Movies to see?

I'm just home from the gym and very tired. Thought of a few curious queries while going around on the elliptical trainer (well, between shots of Colin Farrell on SWAT, which was playing in the cardio cinema).

1. If you could see the past, what five events would you like to observe?

My mom on her 16th birthday (just curious to see what Mom was like), the day of my birth, what I did the night of my only drunken experience, the disappearance of the lost colony of Roanoke, and the true identity of Jack the Ripper.

2. If you could see the future, what five events would you like to see?

This Saturday's lottery numbers, myself ten years from now, the next presidential election results, life 100 years from now, and life 500 years from now.

3. What five celebrities would you like to have a relationship with, if possible?

Jeremy Piven, a bearded Robin Williams, Kevin Spacey, Kevin Smith, and/or a younger bearded Bob Hoskins.

4. What five songs put you in a good mood?

"Roam" by the B-52's
"Shiny Happy People" by REM
"Jack and Diane" by John Mellencamp
"Fishin' in the Dark" by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
"Go Your Own Way" by Fleetwood Mac

5. What five science fiction items would you like to see within your life time?

Anti-gravity flight, space travel, space station on the moon, matter/energy teleportation, and cars that run on water ;)
