Tuesday Rumblings
Feb. 3rd, 2004 01:04 pmMy first day back to work and I got up late and my car was having trouble getting started. Not a good beginning as I'm wondering what is wrong with the car now. With my inheiritance check and tax return forthcoming, it may be a good down payment on a new or newer car.
I was handed a document at work by a coworker for my opinion on anything that is missing or incorrect. Okay, first thing is that if you hand me something like this, expect me to be honest about it. I figure this person must think that I have some input and that my opinion must be worthwhile. I told him a few things that I felt were lacking in response, so now he says I'm nit-picky and critical??? If you don't want my opinion and input, don't hand it to me for review. If you don't agree with me, fine. It's not like it's my work or that my name will go on it.
Saving grace of the day: My office near empty today for various reasons and I have the peace and quiet to get work done.
Consolation prize of the day: I got a neat covered coffee mug in my office mail from one of my friends in our training branch for helping him out with some computer training.
