Sister Chat

Had a fairly uneventful day. Stayed in my PJ's all day. It's cold and dreary outside. Seemed like a good day to be lazy.

Finally got a call from my sister, who has been trying to get hold of me all weekend. She'd call me, I'd call her -- and we would constantly miss one another. She had to fill me in on a few things.

She told me that our mom is apparently dating again. She's only 64 and my dad passed away over four years ago. I'm happy for her, but I admit it unnerves me a little. It's the whole "Ick" factor in thinking of your parents as sexual beings. My sister says that both she and Mom's doctor have seen the positive changes in Mom's health since she's started dating again. And I'm all for that! My poor sister is stuck though. Being Mom's only daughter, she has to hear about Mom's dates when she and Mom have "girl talk" time. I'm thankful that Mom doesn't see me that way. Ewwwww!

Well, I need to figure out what I'm going to wear to the office tomorrow and pack my gym bag. I so need to get back into a gym routine.

Harry Potter skewed....

Had to post this. I'm a big Cartoon Network fan. I just saw an episode of "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy," the cartoon where these two kids manage to win the Grim Reaper as a best friend after he loses a wager with them.

The episode was a take on Harry Potter where the Reaper takes the two kids to summer camp at a school for wizards. They go to class with an egotistical kid named Nigel Planter, a total Harry parody, with an "L" on his forehead instead of a lightning bolt. Just too funny.
