Monday, Monday... So Good to Me...
Oct. 20th, 2003 08:21 pmActually had a really good Monday. Good Monday seems like an oxymoron and it sounds odd even saying it out loud. Nevertheless, it was pretty good.
Work went well, got strangely a lot done, and got to visit a mail order pharmacy to pick up some records for work. Very interesting setup. Wish I could go into more detail, but...
After work I went to the gym. I'm trying desperately to get back in the routine of going right after work. If I make it home, I go nowhere. I know this. I've missed that tired, but satisfied feeling after a workout. Went into the Cardio Cinema and watched the 2nd Matrix movie for an hour while sweating away. It's a neat idea, and it actually makes you want to stay a little longer at times to see how it end. I saw a cute cub type in the locker room, but seeing how I'm not the best at picking out the gay men in a room, it was best to look quickly and admire and let it go.
Next was a quick stop at Kroger's to buy something for the Combined Federal Campaign (annual charity drive) bake sale at work tomorrow. I would love to bake something, but I didn't have time and I'm admittedly a better cook than a baker. I really wanted to get a sheet cake that said "Eat Me for the CFC," but was afraid it would be a tad over-the-line for my somewhat conservative office.
Go home and the neighbors are mowing the yard. Ugh! Next to their nicely mowed yard, my lawn looks like it was owned by Fred Sandford. So... I'm mowing, mulching all the leaves in the lawn. The yard looks good so I can't complain.
Got a lot done, which isn't bad. Only drawback is that I'm exhausted. I'll sleep hard tonight... after a few chapters of MTFord's "It Isn't Mean If It's True." The guy is just too funny.
