Here we go again
Oct. 7th, 2003 07:59 amYesterday ended well in class, I actually learned something new... at about 4:20 PM. Today promises to be better, I've heard and I pray so.
Left the class and rode the Metro to DuPont Circle again. After reading the first Michael Thomas Ford book, I decided to go back and buy a couple of others. Oh, how he makes me laugh. I read the "Trial by Fire" story in the "Alec Baldwin..." book and laughed my ass off. The story of him and his straight girlfriend fighting over a firefighter in a music store was priceless. She bodychecks him into an Amy Grant Christmas CD stand, he has her picked up as a suspect shoplifter... oh too funny.
As I was leaving the Circle yesterday, there was a feeling of familiarity (and not because I was just there the day before). I couldn't put my finger on it unless I was getting on the Metro. A couple of people were handing out leaflets trying to get Ahhnold taken out of the California Gov'ner's race. They were protesting... It then hit me. DuPont Circle, with the varied people and activities going on, is just like college! A perpetual college atmosphere. How cool.
Well, day two is starting, so I have to go. Damn! Pray for new knowledge, I'm tired of drooling and nodding off.
