After a late start to work and even later start heading home, I was happy to stop by my local comic book shop to pick up a few things.


I snagged a copy of Infinite Crisis #1. Great artwork by Phil Jimenez and awesome cover by George Perez.

No spoilers, but that last page... WOW!!!!

... I never thought I'd see him appear in comics again.... :)

I think it depends on the holiday and how the bookstore receives the shipment. Apparently, Columbus Day doesn't rank high enough for UPS/Fed-Ex/DHL to stop shipments ;)

Wasn't that great???! I'm not sure how all of this is going to play out, but that last page character was always a favorite of mine and I was sad to see him go back in Crisis. Good to see him again :)

I picked it up and flipped thru it. For an initial look the book looked pretty. Some panels were not as well drawn which was surprising because I know Phil's work well.... actually hate to brag but I know him personally.... very nice guy!

The one thing that I was a bit disappointed was and this could be a hasty comment was that DC has been hyping this as the worst day in DC history... well.... I didn't see that anywhere in issue #1.... I rememember Crisis of Infinite #1 was amazing and people were dying and it was just GREAT... this one we saw a few minor characters get beat up and 2 maybe three get kills but... nothing major... then again maybe this comment was in haste.

Well, I'm enjoying it, but not sure what the ramifications on the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline this series will have. Though I'm happy to see some of the characters back.

George Perez rocks. He was a good deal of the reason I fell in love with Wonder Woman.

I will *not* buy the Infinite Crisis series, as much as I'm tempted. I need to keep my vices to a minimum these days, particularly the ones that cost money. ;-)
