Fun Day...

Had a really good day today... or I guess I should say yesterday as I've stayed up REALLY late.

I went to the movies to catch a matinee of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. I've never actually seen the original, but the remake was pretty good I thought. Jessica Biel does a really great job as the typical horror chick heroine. I've heard that it mirrors the original pretty well, but I've been told to rent the original by buddies. May do that next week.

After the movies, I went to dinner with a couple of friends that I met online. Patryk is from Detroit, his boyfriend Billy is doing his post-doc at the University of Cincinnati. I suggested that we go to the Claddagh Irish Pub at the Levy, not realizing how bad the traffic and parking was going to be. I felt so bad when I finally got to the restaurant. The guys had spent all day at King's Island and were starved only to get there and have to wait another hour before we could eat. I ended up buying their dinners and beers. I planned on doing it as a gift, but it was more of an apology. We had a good visit. Patryk and I had met before, but this was my first meeting with Billy. He's a very nice man, very funny and cute. Patryk is a lucky guy.

After dinner, I came home and did some cartooning for a friend, talked on the phone with a good friend up north in Indiana, and started chatting online again. Met a nice guy named Mark from Seattle online. He's pretty funny and we're both comic book guys. It's good to have a new buddy with common interests. And he's cute.

Well, it's 3 AM and I'm beat. Will definitely be sleeping in tomorrow.

I really want to see the Texas Chainsaw Massacre!!! Glad it was fun :)

OMG, I so ate dinner at the Levee last night... heh... I ate at Dewey's though... they seemed to have the smallest wait (about an hour). Brio was 2 hours!

It was a madhouse down there, wasn't it? I hadn't seen so many people there in my life. I just ate at TGIFriday's at the Landing on Thursday and there was no really big crowds because of Tall Stacks, so I didn't think that the Levy would be any different. BIG mistake on my part, but I still had a good time and it sounds like you did too. We need to meet for dinner or something sometime, I still have to give you your London shirt. :)
